The impact of managerial competencies on the managerial performance in the educational system
The concept of competence in science education is in the midst of individual and collective performance. The complexity of the activity of running school has found a certain specific of its management that is materialized in two dimensions of the school activity: the variety of categories of staff and the interpersonal relationship, culture and work climate. All these result in the formation and development of a set of skills specific to the managerial field and necessary to the director of school in performing different roles sprung from this activity.
From the general managerial skills to the school manager’s skills
Training and skill development represents a process in progress during the whole career and involves specialized training both within the organization and throughout the professional and social environment. Notion of skill/ com-petence has been the object of investigation for many sciences. Clarification of notion of competence/skill is necessary for those who want to deal with compe-tences, no matter is about their competences or of the others. In cognitive psychology and in educational sciences, in ergonomics and in economy or in human resources management, the concept of skill or competence is situated in the middle of the individual and collective performance and all of us want to develop. In education, the art of management is very important because it better highlights the principle’s/ school manager’s personality and his/ her personal example has an essential role in realizing the established objectives for school. The art of running a school is in fact the art of working with people that means a new, modern and distinct dimension of the one who runs the education institution
Finite element 3-D model of a double quantum ring: effects of electric and laser fields on the interband transition
In this work, the changes in the energy of electrons and holes, oscillator
strength and interband transition time when external fields are applied to a
GaAs/AlGaAs semiconductor double ring grown by the droplet epitaxy technique
are theoretically analyzed. We consider a static electric field and an intense
laser field nonresonant with the quantum structure, with variable intensities
and orientations with respect to the symmetry axis of the quantum ring. In the
formalism of the effective mass approximation for electrons and holes, the
energies and wavefunctions were numerically computed using the finite element
method implemented with an accurate three-dimensional model of the real quantum
ring. Laser dressing of the confining potential was performed using the exact
integration formula at each point. Our results show major differences between
the effects of the two types of applied fields, caused mainly by the static
electric-field-induced strong polarizability of the confined electron-hole
pair. In addition, the effects of both fields exhibit strong anisotropy in the
electronic properties as a result of the particular flattened geometry of the
quantum ring. Proper combinations of field strengths and orientations are
helpful in designing accurate tools for the sensitive manipulation of interband
radiative properties.Comment: 23 pages, 15 figures, 3 table
Therapeutic Drug Monitoring and Methods of Quantitation for Carbamazepine
Carbamazepine is an early anticonvulsant still used today in the treatment of several forms of epilepsy. An active metabolite in the human body contributes to its pharmacological effect. Carbamazepine metabolism has high inter-individual variability, such that it is relatively difficult to establish a direct link between dose and concentration, or between concentration and pharmacological effect. Carbamazepine is thus a good candidate for therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM). Good UV specific absorbance and high plasmatic concentrations allow for the use of UV detection, which is often more accessible than other methods of detection. This paper presents several methods used for the detection of carbamazepine in plasma, methods that are capable of detecting drug and metabolites at adequate levels/ acceptance criteria. These methods have possible application not only in pharmacokinetic, bioequivalence, and permeability studies, but also in the therapeutic drug monitoring of carbamazepine
Facilitating the disabled persons’ insertion in the Labour market through a professional counselling process directed towards the certification of competences
AbstractEquality and diversity are essential values of a democratic society, many companies being interested nowadays in developing ample programs of Corporate Social Responsibility. An ever-increasing number of studies demonstrate that the civic spirit and tolerance on the job are directly proportional to the team productivity and to the economic performance of the organisation, and the Romanian state offers fiscal facilitations to encourage the civic spirit. However, although in Romania there live more than 600 000 people with disabilities (acc. to ANPH), while 50% of them could be integrated on the labour market (in their case, their handicap affects activity only partially), only 5% of them are actually hired. In the herby study, our purposes are: to identify the resources that are necessary in the recruitment/selection process of the people with disabilities; to build up a specific counselling program of the people with disabilities with a view to fructifying their individual potential and to guaranteeing equal opportunities in their career development by means of a process of acknowledging the competences acquired as a result of their work experience, in protected workshops or outside them
Family Destructuring as a Results of Workforce Migration. Romanian Realities
AbstractAfter 1989, major changes in all fields of economic, social, political and moral life have taken place in Romania, these changes having great impact on family life. Economic crisis, increased unemployment, decreased income, and increased poverty on the one hand, the absence of viable social protection measures, on the other hand, triggered at the social level, the belief that ensuring acceptable living conditions in the country is impossible. In this context, migration of workforce has acquired new dimensions and its effects on family life are more and more obvious. The purpose of our study is, on the one hand, analyzing the current situation of the workforce migration in Romania, showing its main consequences on the family structure, inter-familiar relations, children's psychological development and social integration and, on the other hand, offering some viable solution to suppress the negative effects of such a phenomenon
Photocatalytic Treatment of Rhodamine 6G in Wastewater Using Photoactive ZnO
The photocatalytic activity of zinc oxide, prepared by precipitation followed by calcination, was tested using rhodamine 6G as a rebel organic compound. The experiments were planned in order to allow an optimization procedure, by investigating the effects of different parameters such as the preparative method of the solid, amount of photocatalyst, pH of the reaction medium, and initial concentration of the dye. The results were compared with those obtained on P-25 Titania, and one of the samples had similar performances in terms of dye degradation degree, but needed higher pH values to prevent the photocatalyst degradation
Clinical Psychological Aspects within The Concept of Pediatric Dentistry
In this paper we aim to describe the pediatric dentistry (pedodontics) wich is a branch of dental medicine dealing exclusively with children and adolescents, being a field that has experienced an impressive development over the past years in our country, being introduced as a specialty in the program of residency in 2016. The purpose of this article is to highlight a number of clinical and psychological aspects resulting from a study of a sample of 10 children on the behavior adopted in the dental office in two distinct situation
